SC4 invites community to campus for Homecoming during Blue Water Fest Family Night

PORT HURON – St. Clair County Community College invites community members and alumni to campus during the Blue Water Fest’s Family Night from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 12, as the college celebrates its 95th anniversary and Homecoming.

SC4 Homecoming will feature live music and entertainment, food and beverages, kids activities, giveaways and gallery tours. Events will take place behind SC4’s Main Building, along the Black River.

“SC4 is committed to student and community success and has been for 95 years,” said Celeste Skalnek, director of college, cultural and alumni relations. “Our fun and free homecoming event is a celebration of our commitment as a long-time community partner and advocate.”

SC4 Homecoming schedule of events:

5 to 8 p.m.

  • Kids activities, giveaways and refreshments
    • Temporary tattoo station
    • Chalk art
    • Giant Jenga
    • Cornhole
    • Games
  • Nasr Natural Science Gallery tours
  • 95th Anniversary: Faces of SC4 exhibit in the Fine Arts Gallery
  • EMS ambulance tour

5 p.m.

  • Meet SC4 mascots Skip and Lil’ Skip and their university friends, including Michigan State University’s Sparty
  • DJ Music

6:30 to 8 p.m.

  • Free Twilight Concert Series featuring SC4 symphonic and jazz bands, directed by Erick Senkmajer
